Just that.

It's in my house hiding somewhere.

Where else can I look?

🤔

All handbags
Travel bags/cases
Drawers - a poster a few weeks ago found hers stuck to the bottom of one - cover had got caught
Car/glovebox
Photocopier
Safe
By the door (ID for alcohol deliveries!)
Filing cabinet

CherrySocks · 13/06/2022 22:38

Did you take it with you for ID purposes and is it with the rest of that paperwork? (Eg opening bank account, etc)

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 13/06/2022 22:40

Think carefully... what did you last use it for. Holiday, at work, bank, checking the date... and where were you?

I find mine under the sofa cushions, had used it for a DBS check.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 13/06/2022 22:52

Pocket of a coat/jacket/bag you haven’t worn for a while

santastolemycat · 13/06/2022 22:56

Do you have a printer or scanner it that you used to send a copy of it to someone?

bizzey · 13/06/2022 22:59

While looking for DS's passport I was convinced it was in a brown envelope with his NI number.

I accidentally found it..in a sandwich bag along with his NI letter...in a "don't know where to put this " box in my room......after he came back from a job interview....when I was unwell !

I didn't trust him to look after stuff ..and really messed up 🤔🤣🤣

bizzey · 13/06/2022 23:00

Sorry ...I put it there after his interview..
As in "that is safe for now " type mode.

bizzey · 13/06/2022 23:01

Look in the places that you think ...I will put it there for now .

Qwaszx · 13/06/2022 23:03

I last used it Nov 2019. My last holiday. Its not in my travel bag. I've not needed it for ID since then... But I do now!!

I can see what I'm doing on my next day off work!

Ohh don't worry...I did own up ...and appologiesd for blaming him !

DoncasterHombre · 13/06/2022 23:51

Your passport has been taken from your house and is in the hands of an international spy and she's busy creating a double life as you - shopping in all the places you'd expect in London, Paris, Milan, New York, etc. And Ann Summers too, obviously. Not Agent Provocateur because it's too obvious and they sell lingerie that spies wear.

She only broke in looking for biscuits. One day you'll rue the day you hid it in a biscuit tin in the kitchen cupboard . . . . . when your credit card bill arrives or "your" Ann Summers purchase history is leaked online and we can all see what "you" were buying.

Crispynoodle · 13/06/2022 23:55

I took mine as ID for my vaccines could it be that you did too and it’s in the pocket of the warm coat you wore at the time?

TigerLilyTail · 13/06/2022 23:58

Maybe the same place as mine 😔

I keep giving myself deadlines to find it by. I’m guessing it’s buried in the chaos in the spare room somewhere but no idea why it isn’t with all the other passports.

justasking111 · 14/06/2022 00:00

Used for solicitors, estate agents, pensions, bank, driving license, in the photocopier. I've done it all. I'm really paranoid now.

sleepingophelia · 14/06/2022 00:02

Under some folded polo-shirts/clothes in a small drawer.

SkiingIsHeaven · 14/06/2022 00:04

Do you have a drawer with stuff in like odd batteries, cables, a paper clip, guarantees, a set of dice, elastic bands etc. if so, is it in there?

Or is it just me that has a "stuff" drawer?

This. Also why are you so certain it is in the house (it probably is though, we once found one on a bookshelf situated "like a book"). Are you absolutely sure you have not taken it out (covid jabs and so on) the car is a place that it might be. Step back in time and think of the occasions you might have needed it (realise that's hard when it is 2019). I think I have contacted the passport service before in the vain hope that my adult kids passports have been handed in when lost, but I think they destroy them anyway. If not (and give yourself a time limit) just move on and get the new one. It is money and hassle, but sometimes a better result than fruitlessly searching.

Sliceofpi · 14/06/2022 00:13

It’s under three years worth of old bank statements

StarlightLady · 14/06/2022 07:27

In normal times l travel a lot for work. I always keep mine in my top drawer with my knickers. I’m not being little Ms Perfect though, that should be “almost always”. With Covid things went a little awry.

l found mine amongst some papers l took to the bank and I forgot to put it back.
