I've NC for reasons that will become obvious.
Today something utterly amazing happened.
Its definitely true and real (I've not been conned or scammed) but I feel so very awkward telling anyone IRL about it.
I have been unable to work due to disabilities for a number of years and I have claimed benefits. Before that I had a fairly unbroken work history apart from maternity.
I received a call several months ago from benefits office asking some questions because they were reviewing some peoples awards and thought mine was wrong and THEY OWED ME MONEY!
He said it would be backdated to the time the mistake was made by them.
He called today.
They owe me thousands of pounds!
I feel elated. But some part of me feels I can't share this information, especially with my working friends.
Im sure my non working friends wouldn't want to hear that either with everything being so economically difficult for everyone.
But I needed to let it out.
