Where is all the pitta bread?

Only Warburtons strange soft pittas available in all of the shops near me. First noticed around Easter and thought maybe they were making shelf space for the multitude of weird flavoured hot cross buns but the pittas still haven't made a reappearance

Interesting - I thought it was just Aldi, because their bakery section used to be great and is now fairly rubbish.

I bought some in my local Tesco Express last week. Maybe the week before, and we get them every fortnight in our wonky bread box

Yodaisawally · 13/06/2022 08:34

In my house, I ordered 10 packs by mistake from Sainsbury's...Good job we like pitta!

Doesn't seem to be any issue here, there is with chicken and eggs though, maybe bird

There was some in Asda this morning. I saw it as I picked up flat breads

I have noticed this over the last few weeks, managed to get some in Sainsburys but none in Tesco, Co-op or Aldi.

Skinnermarink · 13/06/2022 09:00

They had them in the sainsburys near me but they’ve gone up by about 18p.

Loads in our local Waitrose.

HeatherThick · 13/06/2022 13:46

Loads near me too.
Have you tried the Olio app? There's always pitta on there in my area (free stuff from supermarkets).@LakeFlyPie
