Random; any commercial LL here? What do you do with a lease When the tenant wants to stay

But the lease is expiring?

Do you have to pay for a whole new lease? Pay for an extension on original terms?

I am Certainly getting a solicitor to do this but my experience has taught me that I need to know a little of what I'm talking about as well and understanding some options.

Don't just let it roll, my commercial property law days are a while ago but I think there's a risk they can get security of tenure if you let it roll too long.

A "renewal lease by reference" is the thing you need I think.
