Anyone able to get the Freeview channel 'W'? Doesn't seem to exist here!

Had no idea where else to put this - the Telly Addicts topic seems to be about particular programmes.

I noticed a freeview channel called 'W' in the tv guide and as it appeared to be showing something interesting, tried to tune in. The freeview channel number is 25 according to the guide, and it also states 25 online. However, there is no 25 on my freeview; it jumps from 24 to 26. Even did a retune as that sometimes sorts this kind of thing out, but no, nothing.

Can anyone offer any insight on why this channel doesn't seem to be available? Well, it probably is, just not to me!

I'm with Virgin and on there it's 125.

It is channel 25 on my humax free view. Think I had to retune the tv to be able to get it.

I've got a TV with Freeview but haven't used that before now. On my set-up, W seems to be part of UKTVPlay? Do you have that? I managed (somehow) to find W there.

@hoteltango - actually, I did just find it there, but somehow the audio description seems to have been turned on and I can't find out how to turn it off!

There's a button on your remote for audio descriptions, AD. On the very bottom right hand on our Humax remote.

We have a tv with built in Freeview and get W on ch 25, it appeared after a 'new channels found' message and a retune a few weeks ago. Am in London, don't know if that makes any difference.

W suddenly appeared on my Integrated freeview a couple of weeks ago

Thanks for the responses, will be having another try later. It'd be much easier to be able to just access it on regular TV as it takes a bit of faffing to access it via UKTV Play as that is is via the NOW TV box. God, once upon a time it was just telly!
