Ive never worn tights in my adult life.
I have found a skirt for a wedding but my legs are so veiny! Clusters and lots of bruised.
Varicose runs in all the women in the family.
I don't get pain yet from them just dulk aches but bruise like a peach!

So i need tights to go with the skirt. What is denier?
The skirt is predominantly black with a blush pattern, i have shoes and bag as a match within the pattern color.
Its in August so going to be hot. Skirt is knee legth.

Money is a bit tight so are onew from supermarkets etc ok?

Denier is the thickness. The higher the denier, the thicker the tights. Black tights are possibly not going to be appropriate in the height of summer, but they would hide any veins etc. Skin coloured tights could be good but can look like surgical support tights if too thick/denier too high. Supermarket tights are just fine. How about buying a pair of skin coloured tights to match your skin tone and using concealer to hide any veins/bruises?

Don't wear tights if you don't want to. The Sally Hansen airbrush legs stuff (though you don't spray it on, spray it on a tan mitt and use that to apply) blurs out bruises really well and doesn't budge

Supermarket tights are fine, you can keep a bottle of clear nail polish in your bag to stop any runs.

Thanks for the advice.
I have very white legs as so paranoid about getting them out. Only wear shorts in garden.
I've never used any fake tan before either.
In fact i dont pamper myself in any way although i know i should.
I shall look around this week thank you

If you use fake tan you need a practice first, because it can go on unevenly. Especially if you kneel a lot when gardening, you can have patches of drier skin and end up with patchy knees like I did. Grin

Go to uktights.com and ask them for advice on type and best colour. A natural coloured pair would be best for the in outfit. I would suggest 10 or 15 denier, matt finish. And take a spare pair. Hold.up stockings would also be a good.option if the weather is very warm.
