I've done a bit of a search on here but haven't turned up a lot, Google has given me a lot but not sure where to start!

Have just unearthed a few bits and bobs of jewellery from ex boyfriends, I can see the DIA stamp on some and know it's gold or white gold. I'd like to sell it on, it's only high street stuff but would be nice to be able to get something pretty for each of my girls with the proceeds, that isn't directly attached to my previous love life!

Is there a good, reliable postal service that will take mix of gold and factor in the value of the diamonds (if there is any), websites I've found seem to be an either/or specialist. Hallmarks are too bloody small for me to guestimate the value of anything 😂

Could you go into a jewellery shop?
might be better than posting it because then at least you know where the items are and probably less likely to get scammed if it’s a real life person you can see 🙈

AFAIK those We Buy Any Gold types aren't interested in stones , just the gold weight
So a jeweller isa better bet
I have my GM ring which is nearly 100yo , still got the original box ( it is dated with initials too) . The jewellers shop is still in business but don't do valuations and have to send them away which I don't want to do .

Take a photo of the hallmark and enlarge on your phone ?
There's websites that give all the Assay Office details
