Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just enjoying my first cuppa of the day. The washer's on already though, so it's not as peaceful as usual!

Both girls need school tights 🙄 again, so we're off for a walk into town for those. We'll probably stop at the market & in a couple of other shops too but don't really need much. Hopefully it'll be a fairly quick trip 🤞

I'm not sure what we'll do when we get in. Dd2's been quite grotty the past couple of days so probably just a moochy afternoon.

I do need to water my sunflowers though, and I'm making this week's playdough for school so will probably do that.

I haven't got a clue what's for tea yet, possibly diy pizzas but I'll have a look for inspiration when I get up to get dressed.

We’re on the ferry to Calais, the water is nice and calm today, so a smooth crossing so far. We thought it might be very busy due to flight cancellations, but its actually fairly quiet. We should get to Calais at about 9:30. My son is having a good grump because I wouldn’t let him have a toblerone, you’re allergic to milk mate! We’re going to Disney Paris for magical pride, we went to the 2019 one and it was very good.

Babies second time abroad, we did have a bit of a sweat on as our social worker is off ill so our permission to take our daughter out of the country was only granted on Thursday, so that was a bit stressful. She has been rocking the ear defenders for two weeks so we could get her used to them if we do both end up going to see Becky Hill tonight.

What playdough recipe do you use? Ours always ends up a but too wet/slack.

@Simonjt I use this one for work, it was recommended on here & lasts really well! Have a fabulous time at Disney & Becky Hill.

I'm opening cards and presents as it's my 50th Birthday.

Feel very lucky to have people in my life who love me.
My 15 year old is a boy of few words but wrote in his card that he loved me from the bottom of his heart,brought me to tears.

DS gave us a lie in until 630 am this morning 🥳 my in laws are coming for lunch and to take DS out for a few hours this afternoon. I'm hoping to do something productive in that time but we'll see haha...

Supervising fights between DC as eldest (7) attempts to do homework (painting) with youngest (2) trying to 'help'. Trying not to get too snappy as dc2 had me up for 4 solid hours in the night as he couldn't settle for some reason. I'm so tired I feel sick and teary. Going to force myself to get up and out today so I don't just sit and snap at the DC all day at home.

I'm in bed with a coffee and Pioneer Woman. DH is away, so DS and I need to do Father's day stuff this morning.
I'm getting my hair cut this afternoon and then DM is coming round for me to help her with some pre-holiday admin.
Probably Chinese takeaway for tea. Quite a relaxed one 😊

Had my coffee. 1st load washed and out on the line. 2nd load in. Bed stripped and re made.

Off out now to a dog club to try a new activity with the pup.

Then a small shop and home to make vindaloo for tea and a lemon drizzle cake for my DSis who is coming for lunch tomorrow.

Maybe a walk later in the woods.

1st weekend off in a month but just want a slow chilled one to relax.

Lots of stuff to fit in but not sure how it will come together. I have 2 office cleans today, one is new and I’m nervous about wrestling with the new keys.
In addition the 17 year old has Goalball training, the 22 year old wants to go to the tip and the 15 year old wants to celebrate the end of exams with fish and chips down the water meadows.

Been up since 5 - I'm 35 weeks pregnant and managed to pull myself when battling with the big pillow thing I now sleep with.
Not doing an awful lot today, stir fry for tea and lots of cups of tea and relaxing for me today.

@Rebelmcstreettuff , happy birthday. I felt exactly the same on my 50th. I didn't feel anything but loved and treasured. I bet the card from your ds will be your best present. Have a lovely day.❤
Not too good here. Can't say too much but basically a relative was taken to hospital last night. Suspected meningitis, possibly stroke. She's only in her 20s.

We're having a good tidy up ready to put the house on the market, so busy weekend! Treating ourselves to lunch out later for our efforts...

Other than that, the usual boring weekend stuff - washing etc. I'm changing my work hours soon so will be off Fridays, looking forward to being able to do more then so we can have free weekends!

Busy day today . Swimming and tap lessons for Dd2 . Then Dd1 is in a carnival procession and performing with her cheerleading team . Then we are straight to dd2’s birthday party . Will need a sit down and pimms at the end of the day .

I'm on holiday in sunny sunny Albir. Just had breakfast, dd (12) is exhausted. So I've sent her back to bed to lie in the cool room and watch some TV for an hour. Then we are going swimming, siesta time, swimming, jacuzzi, get ready to go out, watch a show.
It was a very stressful few days before we came away- tui cancelled our holiday. So I'm making the most of chilling out and doing very little, and dealing with the TUI stuff when I get back.

Morning! I'm in bed with a waffle, yoghurt, strawberries and earl grey tea, while I do menu planning before going to the bakery and supermarket. A very civilised start to the day! (teens are sleeping in) 😊

DH and I are away for the weekend in the country and it's bliss, DC are with grandparents. Arrived late last night after rushing round getting uniforms washed and dried etc ready for Monday.

Just about to head for breakfast, planning a long hike this afternoon with a tea room half way and a pub at the end 👍

A well deserved rest, much needed and a switch off.

Early swimming lesson was cancelled while we were on the way, so a free two hours. I've run round doing the winter sweaters wash, before stashing them away. Two more loads of washing, now I'm taking in a linen top so it fits, then going on a canal barge later.

Tomorrow is my birthday so shopping for some nice food for me & ds.

Morning. I've been up since 7. Washing done and on the line. Having a quick tidy up then we're off to a bbq at friends at 1pm. Dh and his friend talking about watching the England V Italy match later so think it's going to be a long day .

Teens in bed, Dh in a meeting. I’m about to tackle the kitchen. Reading as I could do with ideas of what to do with teens! Ds doesn’t like going out atm. And wants to be on phone, computer all the time.

We are off to DS end of season football festival today gutted as it absolutely pissing down here. Half the events had to be cancelled.

Atm the DC's are still asleep DH and I have just had our breakfast in peace and watching TV. Will need to wake the DC's soon so making the most of it.
