Hi All, I’m due to move into a house in Barlow Close Rainham, ME8 and looking for experiences within the area.

I have 2 children (13&6) and wondering if anyone can give us some feedback on the area as we are moving from Greater London.

Im slightly nervous about the move and will still be commuting to London for work so any experiences of commuting from Rainham. I believe the 783 bus goes from near our road to Rainham station.

Sorrt for the weirdly arranged pair but I’m just looking for any information on the area - good or bad. Recommendations and general information in the area.

Hey, I live 10 mins away 😊

There's lots to do in the area - you're not too far from the ice rink and the giant sainsburys at Hempstead Valley. There's lots of lovely countryside nearby too. Depending on what you like to do in your spare time I'm happy to make suggestions.

In terms of links to London, I'm on a different line to you but in general this area is well connected to London with commutes that aren't too bad. Ebbsfleet is just down the M2 and the high speed train goes from there and gets you to London in 15 mins.

I hear lots of mixed things about Parkwood but don't live there so don't want to speak out of turn!

What else would you like to know?
