4 y.o. Been vomiting for 48hrs now. She has a big boak, sleeps for a few hours, wakes up starvin. I feed her (so far have tried toast, watermelon, yougurt, custard and vanilla ice cream, not all at once of course but nothing stays down) . She then boaks again, perks up chats, then sleeps. Wakes up, then we start all over. She is so hungry, but nothing stays down. What else can i feed her that might stay in her stomach?

Ibuprofen is horrendously harsh on an empty stomach !

I gave my DD paracetamol but she was with that. I tried to focus on hydration. Within one day she went from sick to eating a crumpet that night. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery

She doesn't need paracetamol or ibuprofen unless she has a fever. Both will irritate her stomach. Just let it pass.

Yep, thats what i thought. She has managed some toast and a decent amount of water and now in bed. Fingers crossed. I am knackered.

Don't know why but the only thing I can ever keep down when I have a sickness bug is tuna sandwiches 😂 No idea why

I think it's likely to be the salt combined with the carbohydrate in the bread - and that you can eat it slowly/it's not ice cold or incredibly hot.

I've never heard about giving ibuprofen/paracetamol but the traditional Irish remedy for all ailments is hot, flat 7up. Cures everything Wink hope your dd is better soon.
