Sudden sore boobs and spotting before period… help!

Hi all,

I’ve been experiencing usual bleeding and some other symptoms lately and I wondered if anyone else has experienced this and knows what could be causing it.

A few months ago, I bled after sex. Since then, ive had spotting for days before my period arrived. Both of these things have never happened to me before. I’ve seen the nurse and my cervix looks fine. She has, however, diagnosed thrush. I’ve always been prone to this.

Another odd symptom is that my boobs are extremely sensitive before my period. This is completely new for me and began at the same time as the spotting and has happened every month since.

I’m wondering if it could be a hormonal change. But what could cause this? I’m 33 and have two children. Definitely not pregnant.

Awaiting GP appointment on the 21st. Just worried in the mean time!

It could be something like a uterine polyp. Hopefully you'll get a referral for an ultrasound.

Can you get a private pelvic ultrasound? There is a clinic near me that does them for £60 and you get the results immediately.
