Which of the below best describes your pregnancy/maternity status? Please mark ‘X’ in one box only:
Pregnant
Recently given birth
Neither ‘pregnant’ nor ‘recently given birth’
Prefer not to say.

This is in diversity and monitoring form - is this allowed???

So is it a case of they are allowed to ask but they are not allowed to discriminate? Which would be hard to prove.

Albgo · 09/06/2022 12:56

Wtf. Don't answer it.

Yes - it does say it's not linked to anyone directly linked to your application but I am sending it along with the application ...

Sorry yes seems they are advised to ask this question as part of diversity monitoring...

I’ve not come across this question before. I’d see it as very discriminatory and I’d be tempted to lie if I was in early pregnancy in case they used that against me. I’m currently looking for a new job and I’m getting sick of the questions on every single question asking about my sexual preference. Wtf has that got to do with my job? I am actually bi but I always put heterosexual for some reason, I’m not even sure why.

Ihatethenewlook · 09/06/2022 13:05

Every single application that should say

Danikm151 · 09/06/2022 13:11

They shouldn't be asking that at all.

Naurse · 09/06/2022 13:23

I feel the same Ihatethenewlook

I dont lie on the disability part as my GP has told me it may fuck me up in the future but why, oh why, do they need to know who I sleep with etc.
