What film am I thinking of?

I know the forum has been good at this sort of thing before, so hopefully you will be able to solve mine.

What I remember is it was from the 70s or 80s, and set in some type of jungle area/hot country, kinda like a Tarzan type film. The only main thing I remember is that someone was tied up in shallow water at the mercy of a shoal of piranhas, and when the piranhas were approaching there was fire on top of the water, so the trapped person could see how close they were.

Does anything like that sound familiar to anyone? I've tried googling but it only brings up results from recent Piranha films.

There are, but nothing comes up relating to fire being on top of the water, was thinking that was quite unique to the film so would have been easy to find, but alas

Just watched the trailer for that, as it would be something that my Mum would have watched, I think it is similar but not the one I'm thinking of.

Set in a similar type of place, but there were no shoals with fire on top.

Remember it vividly as I thought for many years that is what happened with piranhas.

It wasn't James Bond was it? Blofield fed people to piranhas.

Possibly, and a JB film might be outrageous enough to have fire on it as well

But looking, it seems he has a tank, whereas the scene I remember someone was tied up on a beach with the piranhas getting closer and closer, the victim looking at the fire knowing his doom was impending
