Today I had my first ever horse riding lesson!

It was great! Scary but great! Quite proud of myself at 44 years old for doing something I've always wanted to do.
Now to win the lottery so I can pay for more lessons!

Go you, that's great! It's an amazing thing yo do - I had horses when I was a child/teen but then life got in the way and I haven't ridden properly in years now. I hope you manage to keep going!

Ah well done! I went with a friend before lockdown and she swung her leg almost 360 degrees so instead of mounting the horse, she kind of slid sideways down its neck! I’ve not laughed so much in a long while.

Good for you. I used to have my own horses and loved riding. I started in my early 20s and even then people were shocked that I started "so old", which was crazy.

Woohoo!! I had my first fall ride at 8 but it took another 40 years to own my first horse. Look up, smile and enjoy!!

Yay ! I’m 40 and would love to have lessons again. Unfortunately can’t afford them but I’m sure at any age you can learn to ride ! Hope you get to go back x

It's the best - I started lessons last year!

Definitely don't stop at trot - I'm just starting to canter and it's so much fun. A couple of weeks ago I had my first ever canters along the beach in the sunshine - it was amazing 😍

You'll be sore after your first few lessons but I ride weekly now and I don't hurt after riding anymore.

I am now feeling envious, had an opportunity in France a few years ago but did not take it up as it would be a one-off.

Just booking in more lessons, can't wait!

When I started, I thought I'd just try it out - I now have weekly lessons and have done several rides out down on our local beach, including a photoshoot ride in the sea!

All my spare money now goes on riding 😂

I can easily see how that's going to happen!!
