Hi - doing some research for my nephew. He'll turn 16 in Dec - and looking for an independent for children with adhd or social/ emotional difficulties. He will have an EHCP - Education Health Care Plan. Ideally in the Hampshire, Wiltshire or Berkshire area. Does anybody have any experience or know of any schools? TIA!

Boarding or day?

You can search for schools here.

There’s St Edward’s in Hampshire. Also look at some of Aspris’s schools (Coxlease is in Hampshire).

Depending on where exactly DN is or if you are considering boarding too, you could look at aurora’s schools, there’s a few in Surrey, Dorset and Gloucestershire that may be suitable if they are within travelling distance. Again depending on where you are, Cambian have a SEMH school in Somerset that may be within travelling distance and some of their schools offer boarding. Witherslack’s Chilworth House in Oxfordshire may be within travelling distance too or they have others which offer boarding.

If you are looking at boarding some of Cavendish’s schools are worth a look, especially Wilds Lodge.
