Some people just love to try and knock down those who are happy or successful

Miserable losers. That's all they are.

That’s a bit cryptic.

I'm coming to the conclusion that lots of my family are like this.

These sort of people have no place in your life.

Mine just liked to kick me as I was trying to get out of the shit…

I have nothing to do with them now. It’d definitely kill them to see me now.

I had one friend go “weird” on me too, also I lost my job due to boss’s jealousy.

these people are truly sad. I’d have been thrilled if the shoe were on the other foot for them.

I'm being a little cryptic as don't like to give too much away. I've found happiness and success in my life recently after a tough beginning in life and low self esteem. I'm much more confident etc. Now and then someone just wants to knock it. I'm genuinely happy for others being happy and successful. Success of course is different for different people. For some it's money, for others it's motherhood or a quiet, peaceful life

I can relate to this as well, sadly. Misery loves company? I've given my phone contacts list a huge de clutter. Onwards and upwards.
