Anyone with a prepayment electricity smart! meter?

Tell me, are they trouble free?

I don’t have one, but my meter is playing up and I think ill be forced into getting one.

I have one. I was sick of having to go to the shop to top up especially if I'd forgotten to top up and I'd be woken up to the house alarm screaming at us in the middle of the night!

Covid hit and I made an appointment to get the engineer out as soon as it was possible. It's been a game changer. Online top ups and family friendly credit (SSE) where as long as you've got credit on at 6pm on a Friday it won't go off until 9am Monday morning even if you were on emergency credit.

going to the shop is no bother yet i can obviously see the benefits,
