Not suitable for home freezing?

I bought some ‘cook it’ meals from Morrisons. The Hunters chicken is fine for freezing but I’ve just realised that the chipotle chicken says ‘not suitable for home freezing’
I’ve frozen it and taken it out - is it safe to eat?!

Absolutely. Just make sure it's defrosted properly in the fridge or just on the side if you're daring like me

We have the same issue with some of the fresh Tesco food... bizarre how some can be frozen and some also absolutely can can't isn't it?

Enjoy!!

yes it will be fine
ive frozen stuff that said not suitable for freezing before by accident and it was fine
i defrost and cook from chilled rather cook from frozen

I think it's more to do with things where the texture or quality gets slightly affected by freezing (some sauces maybe?) rather than food safety.

It's probably been made with chicken that's been frozen, but I'd just ignore it, almost certainly will be fine.
