Sigh! Where is DS's phone

DS has the use of an old phone of ours. It doesn't have a SIM, it only works when connected to our WiFi. He uses it for music in his rooms and to be able to contact us if he's at home alone. He's not supposed to take it outside, is therefore not locked with a passcode.

It must be out of battery; I can't ping it. We don't remember when he last had it. Neither DC remember seeing it recently. I've spent the morning pulling the place apart. Where should I look next?

Down the edges of the sofa, in between the arm and the cushion. Similarly down the side/under the bed and down the back of chest of drawers

Under his pillow. Or in the bathroom.

Checked coats. Laundry basket was cleared at the weekend. He's made his bed since it was last seen. Took sofa apart and moved it this morning.

When my DS lost his phone I found it on the floor behind the toilet where he had thrown it when he heard me coming as he knew he shouldn't be using it on the loo!

I know you said his bed has been made but has it dropped down the gap under the mattress?

Pull the bed out and any bedside table.

Check kitchen shelves, including the ones just above any stuff he uses a lot - e.g. he goes to get biscuits out the tin, and puts the phone on the shelf above, so he's got both hands free. If he is taller than you, the phone may be above your line of vision.

Bags. Presumably the phone works anywhere with wifi, so has he taken it somewhere else, even if he's not supposed to? Bike panniers, if he has them.
