My husband and several of his friends had hair transplants in Istanbul, out of about 6 of them 3 had a further transplant a couple of years later as they didn’t really see good results. Two of them have slightly more hair than before and only one has a good head of hair.

despite having two transplants done my husband still doesn’t really have as much hair as he would like. He often says he should have taken the money he spent on them, the plane fare, hotel costs, added a couple more thousand and had it doe in the U.K.

it was also a long process, quite painful too. His first transplant was taken from back and sides of head to the top and the second one was taken from back of the head and from his beard (on his neck).

Thanks for your response @berrypie

It's interesting to hear the more negative stories, as despite research I'm not really getting much "real" information, only the postioves bigging it up.

Honestly, I've never understood why all men fly to Turkey to get a hair transplant. Yes, this surgery is cheaper there, but I am sure that in the USA, you can find experienced doctors who will do everything perfectly for you. You will walk with long hair as in your youth. I have several friends who flew to Istanbul for hair transplant surgery and were satisfied, of course. However, when I did the same surgery at Hair Transplant Clinic NJ, I also had an excellent result. Then we calculated all the upsets, and eventually, they spent 10% less money than me. But then why would I fly to Istanbul for 10%?

Probably a lot cheaper to fly to turkey than to USA considering this is a UK site
