What happens in court harassment

If harassment goes to court what happens?
I only know court from reading books and maybe they were American books
Do they other side call people to make you look bad? Is this what happens in real life??

Do you mean like stalking? I was asked some qs by his lawyer (eg is it correct none of the contact has been pornographic?) but that’s it, no witnesses. Good luck 💐

I would describe it as harassment but I guess when you look up the definition of stalking it does fit
