My 9yr old enjoys history and likes looking at old black and white photos from different eras. Can anyone recommend any childrens books that have both?

Has he got ones that show the history of your local area? I used to love looking at historic black and white photos of my town when I was his age. Still do actually.

Also, have you got any family photos? That's always fascinating!

No family photos sadly ! We already have the first book linked but thank you! She likes looking at photos of people and houses from different eras - victorians, twenties, 50’s etc. I wondered if there was a book that had something like that

Does your child like a floor plan? www.amazon.co.uk/Life-British-Home-Architectural-History/dp/0470683333

@KindergartenKop thank you for the recommendation, that book looks fab, off to order now.

Agree with @ofwarren that local history books with photos of your local area are fascinating, loved them as a child, also still love them now.
