www.gov.uk/government/consultations/choice-on-units-of-measurement-markings-and-sales

Of course, it does recognise that there are people who will have no experience of buying things in Imperial measurements and it does understand that having a unit of measurement that is the same across shops empowers the consumer and ensures fair trade - however, Brexit and all that

I know people know their weight in stones and pounds...but I think that buying items and comparing prices in pounds / ounces...a waste of time

If the Government wants it so everywhere has to sell in price per pound, but metric has to be there but in smaller font, then that's their choice. A sort of reversal of the current law. Some may see that as a waste of time and money. Some may not.

Of course, you have to download the form and email it in.

You would have thought it would be a form you could just click on and it would automatically send in.

Just trying to make it complicated
