Which passport service is quickest?

I’ve been trying to get a fast track appointment but to no avail (any tips?).

Its for my little one, we need a first passport for her as we are flying end of august 😖

Is it quicker to apply online or to use the post office check and send service? Not sure what the benefit of check and send is unless it’s supposed to be quicker than digital.. any idea?

Thanks!

Absolutely don't use the Post Office Check & Send - it then makes it really difficult, if it impossible, for you to track it.

On-line is best but it seems to be a lottery as to how quickly it comes back. You're already cutting it fine for August. Send everything recorded (signed for) delivery and have your counter-signatories geared up to respond quickly.

As far as I can make out, Fast track appointments are like gold dust.

Have you started your application? We are going first week of September and so worried that Baby DS passport won't come back in time. I think a lot depends which office your application is sent to.

I haven’t started it yet, still thinking which method to use. Dismayed to hear that about post office check and send

Which offices are processing faster? I had mine sent late April and it came back mid May, was processed in bootle.

My ds's renewal came back within 3 weeks from the Glasgow office. It was done online. It tells you where to send the ID details when you apply. Online is supposed to be faster than doing a paper application plus its cheaper

Keep trying for the fast track appointment. We've had an absolute nightmare with the normal service and we applied over 10 weeks ago.

mnnewbie111 · 04/06/2022 18:51

I think it's about ten weeks at the min so not actually cutting it too fine. It's a risk but chances are you'll get it back in time

My daughter did hers online, took two weeks.

Can you fast track a child's first passport?

My dds renewal took 3 weeks from application to printing.

dementedpixie · 04/06/2022 19:16

There's a 1 week service I think for a first child passport

LadyLolaRuben · 04/06/2022 19:24

Online is quickest. Had mine back in 5 days a few weeks ago

THATissooFETCH · 04/06/2022 19:32

I applied for 2 first passports 4 weeks ago online

One birth certificate was recieved a week ago, and one just yesterday

Not heard anything else on them

Have had another childs renewal back in that time
