Simple things that make you smile

What small things make you happy. I can see the sunset from my bed and I love leaving the curtains open so I can see the sky get dark in the summer months.

Birds in the bird bath.

Brushing my ddog. She has recently beaten cancer....
The amount of hair would knit another full sized husky!!

Flowers
My little one waving enthusiastically at all strangers and usually them waving back
Walking through woodland
Hot cup of tea
Seeing trees from most of our windows
our dog chasing squirrels in the garden every day (he never gets close but still tries)

Was never a gardener until Covid hit.. Peeping into my 2 little greenhouses every day gives quite a buzz!

I love a thunderstorm

The smell of fresh cut grass or wood smoke in the evening.

Seeing small kids enjoying themselves.

My plants growing.

The moment I can turn my alarm off when going to bed as I don't have to be up for a certain time in the morning.

@Theblackdogagain This thread 😊I don't have curtain in my bedroom as I like being able to see the sky & I always have the windows open as I love hearing the birds in the morning.

And pretty much everything everyone has said, birds in the bird bath, squirrels, hit drink, plants growing...

we have a magpie family in the tree nextdoor and when they moved in a few weeks ago they were using our garden as a sort magpie b&q coming stealing clumps of earth and twigs for their nest, it was so nice to watch

I love seeing little kiddies toddling about holding their mum/dads hand or sitting in their buggies shouting 'hiya', always makes me smile.

hearing my own DC chatting to each other (on the rare occassions they aren't fighting!).

Pottering in my garden.

I lived in a city until my 30s, been in a small village now for a couple of decades, but i never get tired of hearing the leaves rustling in the breeze and the bird song. Ahhhhh, the peace.

Washing on the line in the sunshine.

kites in the blue sky on the beach.

Happy families galore all along the sea front and on the beach today, glorious.

My bath, hot, bubbles, a great podcast to listen to while in my bath.

My posh, fancy new car that glides along the road. LOVE IT.

Clean bedding and clean pjs.

Smell of something delicious cooking in my slow cooker.

Big Bang theory, gogglebox, the Royal family (as in Jim & Barbara Royal) Better call Saul, anything David Attenborough.

Being warm
Being clean
