What to do in Nottingham for a few hours?

I've got a few hours to spend in Nottingham next week, up to lunchtime.

I'm interested in history & art. Any suggestions about what I could see/do?

Nice gardens to walk around as long as the weather is nice. Just a few tram stops away from the city center

Galleries of Justice
Video Game Museum
Shopping, wandering around lace market
White Rabbit Tea House is nice
The Canal House
The Old Pub...Jerusalem?
Pit & Pen is the place with the bookshelf thing

Love Nottingham!

Another recommendation for Galleries of Justice museum and the pub with the canal boat inside it (can't remember name sorry!)

Canal House

Video Game Museum shut down a few years ago and is now a Vietnamese restaurant.

I forgot to mention the horror museum! It's near the train station!

Another vote for the caves and Galleries of Justice. The castle now is a rip off. As a child I lived not far away and visited regularly, now it's just a money making building.

The national justice museum is in an area called the Lace Market. The architecture is beautiful. It's a nice area for a stroll round, don't forget to look up!

Pop into Paul Smith too, OP - it's in the same area and a beautiful building.
