Pressure on top of head. Anyone had this?

It’s not a normal headache as it’s usually not painful, just constant pressure on the top of my head. Worse when standing and makes me want to just lie down and shut my eyes. Doesn’t make me lightheaded or dizzy, more like I have a very heavy book on my head.

Was told it’s probably linked to ibs as that can make you lethargic and headachey, but i’m not convinced. It’s totally debilitating. Constantly cancelling plans to just lay on the sofa. Anyone had similar?

No, sorry, but it sounds awful and they need find out the cause.

I usually get this when I have a head cold. I always assumed it was to do with sinuses.

Never moves to my face, so not sinuses.

I'm currently having this too. Just came on me 2 weeks ago but I do suffer with IBS. it's either tummy pain or head pressure. I'm still at a loss of the exact cause. I do though think there's a hormonal element to them too. Hopefully it clears off soon!

I get this when I am stressed. Sometimes it turns into a migraine. It's just as you described -like something heavy is weighing down on my head.

Maybe connected to anxiety but it’s already there when I wake up in the morning.
