If you find an Airbnb that you like try messaging the owner and asking them to open up dates for you. It's the owner themselves who decides how far ahead to accept bookings.

The Airbnb calendar defaults to allowing booking up to six months ahead but if you search without dates and see something you like just message the owner and they can open up the dates for you. @balalake please don't generalise. Our Airbnb is an annexe in our garden so is not depriving the local housing market. Many are like this.
