Since I’ve had covid in January, every month when I have my period I develop a cough. Dh noticed it in March and commented and again last month and this month the cough is back,

Has this happened to anyone else?

Cough lasts about a week and then disappears,

it seems random that I cough every month at this time however is it just a coincidence? Or is a period cough a thing?

I have long covid and my symptoms always get worse during my period. I don't get the cough any more but I do get the sore throat. I think you'll find that it eventually wears off (I saw a big improvement after 10 months so it can take a while). Dh would get a periodically hoarse voice (his main covid symptom) for nearly 2 years, though obviously that wasn't period related.

I've had coughing spells on and off since having covid but haven't noticed any menstrual link..

Not a cough but I get horrible night sweats when I have my period. I wake up freezing cold covered in sweat. I assume its a hormonal thing. I'm not sure how hormones could affect a cough?

I thought the same about it being hormonal. It was dh who picked up on it and since I posted this I had a wee Google search and it seems to be a common thing!

I don't have them anymore, but I do have a cough that keeps coming and going. I never had this prior to covid.
