'I've got a newborn' so did you get the dog and then think 'Oh shit, I'm pregnant!I forgot!'

😡
So irresponsible and cruel, the poor thing.

I find it really hard not to message idiots like that. I hope the next person who gets her is decent :(

CormoranStrike · 02/06/2022 22:04

I think - maybe wrongly - that these ads are scams and will secure cash via a deposit.

XenoBitch · 02/06/2022 22:08

Well, on MN, having a dog and a child at the same time is seen as a recipe for disaster... in a bloody and tragic way.

Sleepingsatellite1 · 02/06/2022 22:20

Even the dog looks totally pissed off

userxx · 02/06/2022 22:27

So she's had the dog for a week and then remembered about her newborn 🤔. Twat.

Helenknowsbest · 02/06/2022 23:13

I find people who give up dogs for their newborns are the same type of people who act like they're the only people in the world to ever have a baby.

Cherrysoup · 02/06/2022 23:19

Why the fuck did she get a dog-huskies can be tricky-with a newborn? What a fool.

XenoBitch · 02/06/2022 23:21

Best the dog gets rehomed than stay somewhere unsuitable.

MrsMAgain · 02/06/2022 23:41

That puppy does not look happy nor old enough to be heading for its third home, if genuine...

ScarlettOHaraHamiltonKennedyButler · 03/06/2022 00:00

This can't be real. The dog is 9 weeks old? They would have got it at 8 weeks probably so within the past week. This must be immediatley before baby is born or straight after? It would take a special type of idiot to get a puppy at that time, god help the child.

Fwiw I found my puppy much, much harder than my newborns because it had teeth and could run about.

If this were real and the dog came from a proper breeder they would most likely take the pup back.

LondonMaybe · 03/06/2022 00:02

The poor wording of the article would have me thinking it was a scam

L1ttledrummergirl · 03/06/2022 00:05

That screams puppy farm to me.

Nothingiseverything · 03/06/2022 00:08

That is one scary looking pup 😮.

ArcheryAnnie · 03/06/2022 00:15

So dodgy on so many levels. Too many people get huskies because they are fashionable, when they are completely ill-equipped to look after one. And nobody should be using gumtree to sell dogs. But yeah, this looks like a scam.

pearly1792 · 03/06/2022 02:48

Very silly buyer but I am glad they are getting rid of her now when finding a buyer will be easy than leaving it and trying to get rid of her when an adult dog and buyers are harder to find. There are too many people who keep dogs who don't want them out of seeming to look bad but then just neglect the dog or worse.

ProclivityForPyrotechnics · 03/06/2022 04:46

@Helenknowsbest completely agree

PugInTheHouse · 03/06/2022 05:26

I imagine it's a scam. Also how does it love walks at 9 weeks old!!

Tuesdaynight · 03/06/2022 06:31

Yeah this is as fake as f...

ImplementingTheDennisSystem · 03/06/2022 07:00

What an utter thicko. I detest people like this.

Undisclosedlocation · 03/06/2022 07:32

It’s too young to have even gone on a walk. Smells of BS to me

Ferngreen · 03/06/2022 07:53

Huskies can't go off the lead as they roam - I don't think people should buy them if they aren't trailriding with them. So they get exercise

Badqueen · 03/06/2022 07:54

Its incredibly likely that this is a scam or a puppy farm. They've been popping up all over Facebook recently.

CloseYourEyesAndSee · 03/06/2022 07:57

Either they have the mother and bred her for ££ or this is bullshit.
I know someone who just 'rescued' (bought) a puppy from a 'couple who were bought her as a gift after their dog died and were too heartbroken to keep her' - it's blatantly a line to make buyers feel better about buying puppies. I'm sure that couple have had dozens of puppies they were 'too heartbroken to keep'...
there is no way she bought a puppy to sell a week later!

PugInTheHouse · 03/06/2022 09:42

I also think they go for a lot more than £800. I don't think pet sales should be allowed on gumtree. I don't understand how it is allowed other than on regulated websites.

MrsMAgain · 05/06/2022 00:34

Original ad removed and a new one listed:

The 'if gone today' is just awful and it certainly doesn't sound like any home checks will be done.
