GrouchyKiwi · 09/06/2022 18:56

I nearly tried the second word very early on. Don't know why I didn't.

Nice one today! Took a bit of puzzling over the word lengths to mentally fill in the first paragraph

I solved today's Redactle (#64) in 3 guesses with an accuracy of 100.00%. Played at www.redactle.com/

I solved today's Redactle (#64) in 329 guesses with an accuracy of 44.68%. Played at www.redactle.com/

It took me a while to get going. But then I got the second target word and it all fell into place quickly

VivienneDelacroix · 09/06/2022 21:11

I don't know how you do it at all @ErrolTheDragon - it's very impressive to be so consistently good at it.
I went on a stupid side path today, whereas if I had stuck with my first instinct I would have got there much more quickly.

I solved today's Redactle (#64) in 55 guesses with an accuracy of 49.09%. Played at www.redactle.com/

InMySpareTime · 09/06/2022 21:23

210 guesses today with a final google for the first word. I got lost down a rabbit hole for quite some time, focussing on a whole other aspect of the thing!

takingmytimeonmyride · 09/06/2022 21:47

I solved today's Redactle (#64) in 145 guesses with an accuracy of 50.34%. Played at www.redactle.com/

It took a while to figure out what it was about. Then I got the second word and took another while to get the second word, which I spelled wrong (missed out a letter) so would have got it in 144.

iklboo · 09/06/2022 22:04

Ah thank you @InMySpareTime & @WheelofLife I put everything but the bloody 'ism' at the end!

riotlady · 09/06/2022 22:32

I solved today's Redactle (#64) in 50 guesses with an accuracy of 32.00%. Played at www.redactle.com/

Got there ok today! Yesterday's nearly killed me, I had tried every Biblical/Christianity related word, filled in the whole of the Apostles Creed, even put in Luther but took me about 200 to finally get to Lutheranism

Cooroo · 09/06/2022 22:42

Yesterday I read it through and my first word was 'God' which I was pleased with!

Fifthtimelucky · 09/06/2022 23:33

Not up to @ErrolTheDragon's standards but I was pleased to get today's in 15.

Only 47% accuracy though.

It took me a while to get the hang of, main thing is checking for clues in the typography (things that look like formulae, Bible quotes, titles...) and word lengths. Doubtless helps to be a scientist; most of the non-science topics have been more general knowledge and it probably helps to be older (I bet Ed Sullivan was harder for younger people).:

ErrolTheDragon · 09/06/2022 23:40

And also, my science is in the form of software development... tracking down bugs in complicated code written by other people has a certain similarity!Grin

I've not found a good way of doing pedantle yet though, it's surprisingly different.

devildeepbluesea · 10/06/2022 09:14

@riotlady yesterday’s was really hard! I confess I ended up cheating to get it 😂

valleyofadventure · 10/06/2022 09:57

Only just got round to yesterday's, liked it a lot. Along with Meryl Streep and skirt - much more up my alley 😂😂

110 guesses, 67% accuracy. Could have done a bit better but went down a wrong path.

Redcrayons · 10/06/2022 14:36

I should have done a lot better than this. I realised what it was at 98 when I got a key phrase.
