Where can I get cheapest bedding plants for instant colour?

I need to fill a lot of planters and borders quickly (work, not home). I’m thinking busy lizzies and petunias will probably fill the spaces nicely enough, with some of the white and purple filler plants (I don’t know what they are - maybe aubretia?).
Have you seen any in supermarkets or similar? Our local stores are tiny so only have a few. I’m going to need to make a trip somewhere bigger. B&M, Lidl, Tesco in (faraway) reach.

Asda had 3 trays for £5. Trays had either 9 or 12 plants in each. I filled acetal tubs with 3 trays.

Ah, one place I can’t get to! Sounds like a good bargain though. Thanks.

Morrisons usually have a good selection, and Aldi/Lidl.

Tescos had lots in when I was in last night

Mykittensmittens · 01/06/2022 11:38

The blue and white bedding plants are lobelia.

for a wide selection I’d try a DIY store - b&q have masses of the stuff, ditto Homebase etc

Supermarkets seem v cheap.

kickingupdaisies · 01/06/2022 12:25

Try a local plant nursery, ask for a deal for buying in bulk.

Noisyprat · 01/06/2022 12:28

They aren't the cheapest but B&Q have 20% off this weekend.

theemmadilemma · 01/06/2022 12:40

Supermarkets, or a local nursery. I was shocked how cheap my local one was compared to the supermarkets this year.

Do you have Plants Galore as they are very cheap for bulk buys?

ScottishBeeswax · 01/06/2022 13:46
