Weird skin. Do other people get this?

For the last couple of days the skin on my face has felt a bit flaky. Then it was really itchy last night. When I woke up this morning all the skin around my eyes and mouth was half flaking off and it looked normal. After a shower and a scrub with a rough towel it all came off and I have beautiful baby skin again 😁
In general my skin is quite dry but this snake skin shedding stuff happens to me every few months and I wondered if it happens to anyone else?

Sorry that doesn't make sense. When I woke up it was all half flaking off and looked AWFUL.

Yes! Only recently and it's driving me insane. Hoping someone will be along with a miracle cure shortly....

Maybe the lizard people conspiracy isn't just theory. Maybe we are all related to lizard people...

Don't know, but sounds ok if it scrubbed off and left you soft.

I do when I don't moistuise enough as I use tretinoin. I agree with a moisturiser like cerave as it has ceramides in. I also love lrp cisaplast over moisturiser to lock it in. It would also be worth looking at using a chemical exfoliate like salicylic acid as rubbing your skin will irritate it.

Mine sheds when I moisturise I rub the cream on and my skin falls off 😒

I have mild eczema and my face freaks out when I put anything on it though. Aveeno is as much as it will put up with.

I recommend Doublebase. I have really dry and itchy skin on my face and sometimes legs. It's brilliant. Little bit greasy so don't use a lot as a little goes a long way, and my skin just soaks it in but it stops the itching. It's the only stuff I can use on my face as well.
