Doing things that make you feel like you again

I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling that when my DC was born, I got so swept up in the lovely but also demanding chaos that I forgot a bit about myself. I sometimes feel like during conversations outside the house i'm frantically searching for things to talk about aside from toddlers!

Still in the thick of it with my 19 month old but I definitely have a little more free time before. He naps well and for this I'm super grateful. I often use these snippets of free time to do housework but today on one of my occasional full child free days off from work I wanted to fit some fun things in too.

I wanted to ask what you all do for fun when you get a bit of alone time?

For me it was quite simple but I'd love to hear more ideas

I went for a walk and bought a coffee

I read a chapter of my book

I rewatched an old favourite TV show.

Definitely reading. Listening to music. Reading a current affairs magazine (such as The New Statesman) so that I feel up to speed with the rest of the world. Self care such as mindfulness, meditation, beauty treatments etc. It's wonderful when you start to get some me time back
