Holiday with Teens UK

So I've messed up and I won't get my son's passport back in time for a summer break abroad.

Can anyone recommend a UK holiday suitable for teens (16 and 13), with either entertainment/ activities or close to a city/ town with decent transport.

Dog friendly would be good too.

We are not limited to school holidays.

When did you apply for the passport? We got ours back within 2 weeks....

Otherwise, Center parcs is fun and my teens love it there.
