Teen mum academy...what a horrible programme!

Just stumbled across this on Channel 4 just now, and wishing i hadn't 🙄 What a dreadful programme...some stuck up, shallow social media show-off forcing a lovely but impressionable young mum to make her (breastfed) 9month old baby spend a WHOLE DAY in a creche away from her with complete strangers to go on some 'business course'.You could see she didn't want to leave her there screaming, but felt she had no choice 😥 Total exploitation of children and teenagers for entertainment purposes...shame on channel 4 for broadcasting such shite! 😡

I feel so sorry for all the young mums. They have a damn hard job already, why is pissing around making cupcakes more valued than spending time with a baby? I wonder where all the dads are, and if they’re being taught to ice cupcakes to support their children?

God just watching this now I’m not impressed at all

Bad isn't it! The babies are totally sidelined throughout the whole thing...

Totally true! The 'influencer' or whatever she was was looking down her nose at them the whole time, poor girls. I didn't see the cupcake one, I only watched half the first episode up until the point where some 'nursery nurse' was pulling the poor baby off the poor mum (who seemed such a lovely mum!) then couldn't bear to watch any more.Just sad how she was going against her natural instincts to be close and attached to her baby, and they were encouraging it and she ended up believing that was the right thing to do.DH says I should write a complaining letter to C4...have a good mind to do so...quoting attachment theory!

Sorry meant to say 'discouraging' it!

All the girls shown will have to use childcare as they were mostly single and some were going to college afterwards. You can't run any sort of business outside your home with a baby in tow.

That sounds awful!! There's a special home for teen mother's and babies on my street and them poor girls go through so much and have been so much it's hard to imagine people exploiting them further when they need education and help and time to bond with their babies not being dragged away for stupid courses that won't really help them
