Do you clean behind your bath panel?

Under your kitchen cupboards behind the kickboards?
In the loft?

I don't think DH did it even when he changed the taps, he probably just put the panel back, bath is about 85 years old so who knows what lurks there

MountainClimber22 · 30/05/2022 20:12

I barely clean anything anymore

I was just musing...
No, I don't do any of those things, but I got thinking.
All this clean house lark is just an illusion isn't it really?
Just behind the kickboards and bath panels, all horrors are probably lurking, but it's out of sight and out of mind.

Interesting perspective but

(a) whenever I have removed bath panel etc due to renovation it’s not been particularly bad because there isn’t any way for muck to get in

(b) yes it is ALL an illusion. Under your carpet is floorboard, and under that is actual dirt (or concrete then dirt, or breathable membrane then dirt, but DEFINITELY dirt)

what does mess with my head is when ripping down walls you find that either a builder has left an empty mug in there, or they have left random bits of rubble and nails / ancient empty Coke can etc.

No, but every spring I carefully peel off the wall paper and iron it.

ILIWYS · 30/05/2022 20:33

I've never even cleaned the front of bath panel I don't think.

Si1ver · 30/05/2022 20:37

Dear God no. I mean I'll sweep it out if I'm renovating the space, but even then only if I can reach it.

But then I don't move my sofas to vacuum, so I'm clearly going to hell.
