AIBU to expect a smile?

DP rarely smiles. He can seem to muster up the energy to laugh with others but I get a default blank face, quiet and non jovial evenings etc.

We have a young baby and I think how this might affect them.

Ive told him. It doesn’t change.

Have you tried saying ‘Smile, luv - it might never happen!’? That never fails.

How long has he been like this? Is he actually unhappy? It's no good telling him. You have to have a proper conversation to find out why.

maybe he’s unhappy and has nothing to smile about - ask him
