Can’t get back from knebworth on Saturday- help!

Any one have any ideas?

We have a hotel booking in central London and train tickets to Stevenage but it looks like the train isn’t a guaranteed way home (limited availability) Big green coach and national express are booked, we’ve tried a local taxi but they aren’t taking bookings.

Tbh you could just Uber it home to Knebworth if the trains not running.

Expensive but a realistic back up plan (I did to WGC).

Uber is a good shout, ugh just want it to be sorted and enjoy the gig not panicking about getting home.

There doesn’t seem to be any local bus shuttles - I’ve been to loads of festivals and never known anything like it!

Post on NextDoor or local FB group to see if anyone near you is going by car and can give you a lift if you pay for fuel?

I wouldn’t rely on Uber at the moment, there’s been several nights out recently where I haven’t been able to get one at all. Apparently Bolt is now more reliable but I haven’t tried it personally

I’ve just messaged a couple of St Albans taxi companies- rider and A1 - hope these are ok companies eek

Uber will be £££££ assuming you're leaving after a gig? Surge pricing will kick in and it will be eye-wateringly expensive.

Are the trains limited availability because they'll be packed? The only other thing I can think of is a bus from Stevenage to somewhere like Luton (on a different train branch) and then train into London. But it will take forever.

Is a cheap overnight in a nearby travelodge out of the question?

DS is going with friends and had booked Thursday-Sunday in central London.
We managed to cancel the Saturday night free of charge and book two twin rooms at the Luton Airport Premier Inn working out at £65 a head plus Uber to get there and back. Not the Sunday morning they had planned but better than being stranded.

Did you get sorted? We're in the same boat. I've seen an executive mini bus with driver but it's pricey for the four of us. Would you be willing to share if I could get it booked?

Hope you found something. Great Northern trains at weekend are very poor and cancelled a lot, for example two out of four last weekend.

We booked a local taxi firm in the end from the retail park in Stevenage @RTM252 we booked with Welwyn and Tewin taxis - £140 between 4. I had a quote from A1 in St Albans £250!!!!

My mate said yesterday that the big green bus people had put on extra coaches to London.
