How can I make this birthday special?

I need the help of the MN collective brain 🧠

I have a relative who is 70 next month and I'm his only remaining family so would like to make it a bit special.

I was thinking of maybe booking a photography day or something, we're both keen nature photographers. Just something different to the usual meal out.

There are complicating factors that would make this difficult though. He has heart failure so would struggle with walking any real distance, and has just (yesterday) been discharged from hospital following a 4 week stay due to his heart and other complications. He now has a urinary catheter for several months and has lost a lot of confidence (although would never admit it). I think he also fears going somewhere and having an episode or not being able to walk back to the car etc.

His interests are many and varied. Photography, martial arts, motor racing, classic motorcycles to name but a few.

Any bright ideas?

Keep it low key in this situation but you could still do the photography day as a gift booked for a future date when he's feeling a bit more better and confident.
