Should I be buying a new phone?

My phone is a budget smartphone. A huawei phone from 2020.

I find on some games the screen heats up. Then other times while charging the same thing happens again.

I noticed lately when the phone is on a table or worktop, I'm using the phone, it's not flat and it's a little bit wobbly.

The phone still works well. Just wondering if it's time to change the phone?

If it's heating up there must be something wrong with it?

Buy an iPhone.

Just make sure you don't leave it when you're charging it, in case it does more than heat up.
My iphone heats up, but I think it's because I am using a cheap charger.

It doesn't sound like it works very well to me if it heats up a lot.

Have you got it in a case? I ask that because I had a Huawei phone that needed the screen protector replacing. DH took the case off to find it had over heated so often that the back of the phone had almost blown off. He’s got the same phone and hasn’t had the problem at all.

We’ve got insurance with our bank account so they replaced it with the next model up. DH wouldn’t let me use it after he discovered the problem, though because he was afraid it was going to set on fire.

I wonder if the battery has swollen? Which can be dangerous. Batteries can be replaced but sometimes they're so swollen they're stuck in the device and can't be removed.

Definitely Google swollen mobile phone battery.

I agree it could be a battery issue and that would definitely be a reason to change it due to the risk of fire.

No need to go to such an extreme solution as buying an iphone though Wink

I have a perfectly decent Motorola G7 that's well over 2 years old and still works fine. You can get newer models of those for not very much if you don't want to spend £££s.
