Child Bank Account is Starling Kite any good

Kids aged 12 and 14 would like a debit card as not everywhere they go will take cash (eg bus often can't change £10 note).

They do not want a Go Henry or similar type of card.

I'm going to set them up with a bank account and am interested a Starling Kite account. My current bank does not offer a child bank account.

What does your child have and what would you recommend?

No experience but all mine have had barclays accounts from 11 with a debit card ... it's been a god send for pocket money!!

I see they charge £2 per month. You can get a child account (11-17) with Halifax and they don't charge!
