What have you been up to today?

I'm always fascinated what people get up to at the weekend. I'll start...

Took DC1(10) into town for coffee/cake which was lovely - just the two of us which we rarely do. Took Gregg's treats back for DH and DC2 as she's sprained her wrist and taking it easy at the moment 😢.

Afternoon spent pottering in the garden as weather beautiful while DH had a go baking with DC - first time they've baked with him - and nice to leave them to it and not be involved for once!

Cracking open a bottle of wine now while DH does betime. (Feel a bit guilty letting DH do it all but he's been away all week so he I feel he needs some quality time with the kids 😂)

Online tai chi class while DH at gym. Coffee and cake here. Garden centre - had 20% off so bought three plants. Friends around in afternoon, sat outside as sunny here. Sweet and sour quorn and wine, just washed up and Britains Got Talent on. DH looks like he's about the fall asleep!!

We're following the same theme as you, albeit differently - coffee and cake and wine later!

I got up and had a phone call with my sister. Then went to visit my 92 yr old father as usual. I brought him sone shopping and sorted his emails etc. I then came home and did some tidying and had some lunch.

Then my DD21 (home from uni for a few days having completed her final show) and I went to our local shopping centre -I took back some stuff for a refund and we got make up and toiletries and a few groceries. We then drove to Islington to get sone jewellery repaired (both are under 1 year guarantee so they will be fixed for free). We then pottered round some shops, went for coffee and did sone other bits and pieces shopping. We then came home and both went off to watch stuff on our laptops. We just made something to eat and we are going to the cinema in a while.

It's lovely to have her here. We are going to a stately home tomorrow.
