Did your baby sleep in a side cot? If so, which one?

My toddler point blank refused to sleep anywhere but on or next to me. He hated his side cot (a tutti bambini one, I think) and muses basket. We co slept until 13 months, out of what felt like necessity.

I'm pregnant with number 2 and I'm desperate for this baby to sleep somewhere that isn't on top of me or in a sling. There are times for those things, but ideally not every day and night for a year!!

If your baby slept in a cot / side cot / stand alone basket... which one? What magical sleep inducing device? Or is it just down to the baby...

Thanks!

I think a lot of the time it is just the baby! But we had a Snuzpod crib that attached to our bed and my DD was generally a really good sleeper, so I'll throw that into the mix!

Slightly down to the baby, but I had snuzpod with mine. It acts as a handy storage device while the baby cosleeps with me! (He's now 2. Still comes in with us...)
Would actually recommend. Would sleep at least some of the night, and it was the way I got most sleep as I didn't have to get up to feed him etc.

I mean, I’ve obviously not tried all the bedside cots…but I’m pretty certain 99% of it is down to the baby. I’ve loaned out our chicco Next2me to a few local friends over the last 2 years. Some babies have slept beautifully in there. Some (mine included) screamed within a 2 metre radius of it. I’m pretty certain they are all much of a much, unless you are talking about the Snoo or something like that.
