Prom… Do people wear tights..???

My DD has her school dance/prom/event soon. We have a gorgeous dress (in for alterations at the moment) and cute shoes, but all we own are thick black school tights.

my concept of non black tights are American Tan tights…,

What do I buy her for “leg cover” - she is not a fake tan/bare legs girl….

You don’t wear tights no, fake tan instead.

Just get her some nude coloured tights.

No tights with prom dress, dd used fake tan however her legs were hidden by her dress so she really didn’t need to do anything to her legs

Get her some skin coloured tights if it makes her feel better but I'd just get her out in the sun!

If you google ‘sheer tights’ you’ll find loads of options. I like Snag Tights but there are loads of different companies selling sheer tights in a range of colours

Also no tights no fake tan is fine too. What does your daughter prefer?

You can get decent sheer tights now, I wear them in summer for work events as not comfortable getting my legs out. M&S do several nude colour ways

Thanks so much - fake tan is definitely not her thing but I’m pleased you get decent sheer nights. Used Snag before so definitely start there
