Josh Duggar sentencing today

Anyone else waiting to see how much he’ll get?
im hoping beyond hope that the letters that Anna and Jimbob etc wrote in support will actually go against him. Surely anyone can see that if the whole family are thinking he’s innocent and should be released that there is no one to hold him accountable and he’ll be more likely to carry on his behaviour and molest his children or others?

Yes awaiting the sentencing. I hope it's a lengthy sentence as he is vile. Feel really sorry for the sisters he abused and were then forced to be around him afterwards while it was brushed under the carpet.

He needs the book thrown at him, then maybe his disgusting parents will realise that they cant control everything and then use God as an excuse.

I hope he gets a really lengthy sentence. And I hope he is kept away from his children, because no one else will protect them from him.

Sadly if he was found guilty of having images on his computer he’ll probably just get a suspended sentence. People rarely get sent down for that.

Has his wife left him? Or is she sticking by him as well?

The whole lot of them are disfunctional.

I think his legal team were asking for 5 years. The prosecution were asking for 20. So I would've thought he'd get at least 5 years.

Remember this is America. He would get half off for good behavior and is eligible for parole after serving 1/3 of the sentence and 'Time served" while in jail awaiting trial counts. So 5 years = 21/2 years to serve and he can ask for parole after 18 months. Subtract the time awaiting trial and he will serve less than 12 months and be eligible for release to a mental health facility.

It’s a federal charge so apparently he had to serve all the sentence - no half off. Whatever he gets is what he will serve.

if his own lawyers are suggesting 5, he’ll get longer. The prosecution are asking for 20 so my guess is 8-12.

I'd heard about him abusing his sisters but didn't know about this. He's clearly showing a pattern and that he'll never change. He needs locking up for a long time.

He also got 20 years probabtion. Is not allowed to be around minors including his own children. Is not allowed to own or use a computer or internet capable device. No allowed to view porn.

Yes, it is not child porn it is CSAM as they call it in the US. Most of the reporting had started to change. It’s Better than I thought he was going to get and glad the judge saw through the letters that he would continue to be enabled by his family.

That’s really good to hear that he won’t be entitled to that, as bizarre as they are. How his family and wife still think he is innocent is bonkers.

There are probably hundreds of his victims in that crazy cult, including his own children. Vile scumbag.
