Edinburgh old town - cocktails?

We are eloping to Edinburgh this Saturday and I'm trying to find somewhere for a handful of us to have a few cocktails early evening.

It has only just occurred to me to try and book a table somewhere and everywhere I've tried so far is fully booked 😞

Just wondered if anyone could recommend somewhere we would have a good chance of getting a walk-in table?

We only have a few hours child-free time so don't want to waste time traipsing around too far or trying to get into places.

So as we are staying in Old Town, I ideally want somewhere there.

TIA! 🍹 😊

Wildcat is nice, kind of quirky. Not in old town but near enough.

Monteiths hidden down a close off the royal mile.

Norloft champagne bar opposite back entrance to station station but you do need to book

You might be better on George Street and surrounds for cocktails.....Rabble, Panda & Sons, Tigerlily, Le Monde, Copper Blossom, Candy Bar, Voodoo Rooms, Juniper, The Alchemist.....

I like Hey Palu in Bread Street but it might be full. Neither are in Old Town but Dunstane Houses and The Bonham are lovely, intimate and a little tucked away, and probably a ten minute taxi ride away.
I’d recommend booking all of them though.
Congratulations!
