Rapidly appearing skin tags?

Since Sunday night I have had 5 new skin tags and a small mole type lump appear on my neck

I have never heard of skin tags appearing so quickly and in such a short space of time and have no idea what could be causing it. They are mostly various tiny sizes but definitely skin tags.

Has anyone ever experienced this before?

Any chance you are pregnant?

@HollyGoLoudly1 I don't think so... I had no idea pregnancy could cause something like that? I will try pick up a test - although now my hopes are up

I heard that it can be a sign of pre diabetes but have no idea if there’s any truth in it or not.

I would guess pregnancy too.

Are you 100% certain they’re skin tags, and have you been doing anything in long grass or similar? Ticks can look remarkably like skin tags before they fill up.

Could it be Molluscum contagiosum?
They look how you've described, it's a viral thing.

Okay pregnancy test is negative, don't think it's monkey pox and my siblings has molluscum growing up and it doesn't look at bad as they did, but might be early stages? Have sent pics to my doctor but not heard back yet.

It's all a bit strange. Google just says insulin resistance or pregnancy

@Roseandgeranium definitely skin tags, and no long grass or anything so not ticks. They're super small skin tags - look like smaller versions the one I've had on my arm for about 12 years
