If you could have any fictional character to spend a week in your home, who would it be?

Just sat with a brew contemplating the list of jobs I need to get done while I've got a few spare hours, I could really do with Widow Twankey moving in so she could tackle laundry mountain. Which got me thinking about other characters and realising I really do need a house elf. Who (or what) fictional character do you need in your life for a week?

The Genie from Aladdin. I need plenty of wishes granted! 😃

Mary Poppins. I don't mind sorring my own house but would love the kids distracted by magic adventures while I do it. Also if she could toilet train the youngest while she's here that would be awesome 👌

*sorting. Currently typing while toddler rolls on me, hence the need for a magic baby sitter

Don’t invite me please, I’ve got enough to do!

Clicked on some random thing on the Interweb and saw this.

" What would your three wishes be ?....... one guy said, always making the right decision."

Willy Wonka
. Imagine chocolate on tap. Literally..

TooBigForMyBoots · 24/05/2022 10:51

I came on to say Mary Poppins too @GlumyGloomer.😄

Mommabear20 · 24/05/2022 10:57

A house elf! 😂

Lucy Eyelesbarrow (character in the Agatha Christie novel “4.50 from Paddington”) - she would sort out with remarkable efficiency everything I have been putting off, including clearing the attic and garage! I couldn’t possibly afford her rates, though.

Mr Darcy - see you in a week ladies 😉

GlumyGloomer · 24/05/2022 11:06

Great minds, @TooBigForMyBoots 😉

Miranda Hobbes. No idea why, I just love her.

Chrestomanci. Always

King Midas, but would keep well away from him. After the week was over, I reckon a solid gold house would be worth a bit.

I couldn't have Willy Wonka for a week I'd be ill, I have no restraint with chocolate, as for Mr Darcy, I don't think I have the energy.
