Absolute complete fatigue and missed fluoxetine

Hi all
For the past three days I haven't been able to stay awake for more than 2 hours. Waking up at 5, back asleep by 7, sleep for 2/3 hours then repeat.

I have never experienced this level of fatigue before and the only thing I can think of that has changed is I've missed a few days of my fluoxetine due to surgery messing up prescription

I usually take 60mg daily and haven't taken any for 4/5 days - could this be the cause of my not being able to stay awake ?

I would say yes. I recently struggled to get hold of mine for a few days so took my 20mg every other day for a few days. I’ve been back on it for 5 days but feel really tired and anxious again and can only imagine it’s messing with the medication. You are on a much higher dose too.
have you got your prescription yet?

You should get checked out by a doctor to rule out anything else, but yes…if I miss my fluoxetine I get tired quite quickly.

Thanks both. This came on so suddenly just out of nowhere. I do get tired easily usually due to ongoing chronic health problems but I have never experienced anything like this. I just cannot stay awake.

I can collect prescription this morning at 08.30 so hopefully I'll see an improvement once I've taken the tablets - assuming it's the fluoxetine to blame

Good luck!

Yes, good luck! When I’ve missed tablets consistently and felt like this it usually takes about 3 days to start feeling a bit better and about a week to feel back on form. Hope you feel better soon!

Thank you. It's the most peculiar feeling, I just cannot stay awake
